GrandMasterSaxy Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 South Africa have turned to a grizzled adventurer, who has explored the Amazon and trekked to the North Pole, to help them navigate their path to a maiden World Cup. Coach Russell Domingo drafted in South Africa-born adventurer Mike Horn to help put Wednesday's quarter-final against Sri Lanka in perspective. Horn has plenty of experience working with sports teams, having spoken to the India squad during their victorious 2011 World Cup campaign. He also worked with the Proteas in 2012 and advised the Germany team before they won football's World Cup in Brazil last year. South Africa captain AB de Villiers said of Horn: "He brings great energy to the team. He'll have a bit of a chat to us. He had a chat to the Germans who won the World Cup, things that worked for them. We can learn a bit from that." Horn, explaining his philosophy, said: "I don't lose a match, I lose a life and my commitment is completely different. I don't just play, I play to win, I have to win. "If you have that mindset where losing is no longer an option and the whole team believes in it and you can create the team that helps each other to move forward and everybody is willing to give more than what's asked for, then you can create a dynamic that the Germans have," he added. http://www.thedailystar.net/sports/cricket/sa-get-fear-expert-72222

sensible-indian Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 That expert's credentials are kinda scary. Works with Indian team. We go on to win the 2011 WC. Works with SA test team. They go on to beat England 2-0 and become No 1 in Tests. Works with German football team. They go on to win the WC.
flamy Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm telling you guys SA are done with their choking. They got that outta the system in the group stages.
Sonix768 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 SA need to think it like the 2nd ODI of the 5 match bilateral series.
Deleted_User_1 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I think SA is going to bust a cap in Ravaana's auss today. I can feeling it coming!! :giggle:
BeautifulGame Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm telling you guys SA are done with their choking. They got that outta the system in the group stages. Like last world cup when they choked against England in GS or in the previous one 07 when they choked against Bangladesh?:cantstop:

I can feeling it coming!! :giggle: The game will be so one-sided..It will be either SA ramming the asses of SL or like INS-SA game where SL withh post 280-300 and SA will fall way short...choke..It is anybody's game.

CoverDrive Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Why did India let go of this guy? It's not like this guy is a full time cricket staff. He goes and does sessions with teams when called on a consulting basis
Lord Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 It's not like this guy is a full time cricket staff. He goes and does sessions with teams when called on a consulting basis Could have called him for this WC :dontknow:
flamy Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I think SA have won the cup here. Feck, SA vs AUS will be bluddy brilliant.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Chalo' date=' at least the team is trying to work on its problems .... full marks for preparation so far :nice:[/quote'] This. No need for people to laugh at this - the team has a problem and its trying to work on it. Though I do think their bowling is still weak which may create problems for them in semis or final (if they reach that).
