Secondly, his retirement will completely change Indian ODI team as we would have lost our pillar over last 10 years.

Relinquishing the test captaincy when he did was such awesome timing for him and the one-day team. Although he will never admit it i think that has helped a bit with team morale. That and Ishant's injury who by the way should be given MoM every time we win.

FischerTal Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 If you see his batting, his main problem is not connecting as perfectly as he used to before. His power-hitting has taken a backseat. I would advise him not to go aerial in his shots and look for the 4's. Also, look for the gaps because he can easily convert one run into two and two into three. For this to work however, he really needs to move up the order but I think it's too late for any such changes in this world cup
