He just had a daugther whom he hasn't even gotten chance to see in person since he has been in Australia. His commitment for India can not be questioned ever. I think regardless of what happens, he will call it quits soon and spend time with his kid and wife. I wll miss him when he does so. There was this empty shallow feeling even when he called quits from test cricket recently, even though he wasn't our gun test player. Certain players just leave mark. And I have been watching Dhoni for a decade now. It's like he has traveled with me to USA when I left INdia. CHAMPION PLAYER. WILL BE TRULY MISSED BY EACH ONE OF US.

Austin 3:!6 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 There is no question of him leaving anytime soon. He is only 33 and can easily lead for 4 more years and then probably 1 year as a player/mentor. The day when the captaincy goes onto Kohli's hand, this ODI team is finished.

Austin 3:!6 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Forget about MSD retiring. I would even bring back Yuvraj Singh and replace him with Jadeja after the WC. Our late middle order still lack that flourish and Yuvraj Singh can give perfect impetus. And yes, MSD's batting has detoriated big time. He cannot play those big helicopter shots which he used to play before. Due to his lack of big hitting capibilities and if Raina fails, our lower middle order will be in big trouble.

I mean in overs 46-50 his finishing stats are enormous compare that to this WC. Against Pak, SA and this game he failed to finish. We score 300 besides that..is a changing face of Indian batting.
