AmreekanDesi Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Should approach same way as Baz Mcculum did the other day. if he can go crazy and make a 40-50 at a SR of 150+ then we can bring it down to under 6 per over. he is key. dont expect him to play a huge innngs so why not drop anchor
Laaloo Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 No we need him to play anchor. Others can bat around him
Vijy Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Rohit is not a fast scorer immediately.. like Guptaji he peaks after getting to 100.
AmreekanDesi Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 More Likely Dhawans Role i actually expect dhawan to score a big one. rohit will lose his concentraton and get out at some point ether way so why not cash n when he in indeed on the pitch
Bumper Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Should approach same way as Baz Mcculum did the other day. if he can go crazy and make a 40-50 at a SR of 150+ then we can bring it down to under 6 per over. he is key. dont expect him to play a huge innngs so why not drop anchor Would be a fool's errand with just 7 batsmen to chase down 330 in a WC semifinals. Plus McCullum had a track record of doing this successfully, which Rohit does not. Aussies have their best chance of picking wickets when the ball is new. India should hope to be finish at 45-0 after 10 overs. After 10 overs it should be easy to bat.
zaqw222222 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Need to keep wickets in hand and built a solid foundation just like we did in Nagpur and Jaipur in 2013. In both matches we chased 350+ scores easily but that was due to the solid foundation built by openers, we need similar innings from our top 3
wanted_desi Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Don't lose wickets in front, look at how lanka was chasing.
sensible-indian Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 No...we should start properly, build out an innings and go for the close. Sensible batting will make this game interesting.
bowl_out Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Nobody will do a Mccullum... Rohit needs to anchor
bowl_out Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 This is not Bangladesh. Mccullum did that against SA with Morkel and Steyn spewing venom :finger:
JaFanatic Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 He should bat as usual. If he clicks then :bye: Aussies
vijay50 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 328 looks 350 under lights. Its very tough chasing.
Cricketics Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Bat 10 overs with ease.Dont lose wickets and that means johsnon and stararc would have lost 5 overs. They will jave to use watson clarke a lot then . This is gettable, we have to bat smartly, even if that means playing little slow in first ten overs to not give aus any wicket
Bleed-Blue Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 i actually expect dhawan to score a big one. rohit will lose his concentraton and get out at some point ether way so why not cash n when he in indeed on the pitch Hopefully Both Score
achilles Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Mccullum did that against SA with Morkel and Steyn spewing venom :finger: McCullum doesn't play well in just 1 among 5 games. He's much for consistent. Rohit is consistent too.... at failing :finger:
vvvslaxman Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 NO need man :hmmm: They were chasing 298 in 43 overs ..
