India had lost a lot of games before the warm up so it was probably important as well. He made a choice, we all do. Look at it the other way, 1000s of people are doing hard labor to feed their families by working in the cities and they also don't get to go home, same with army men. At least dhoni can retire at 35 with billions of rupees in his account. So I do respect his commitment but I don't see SRT and MSD as people who sacrificed for the country. It's their profession and I like their commitment.

Oh and btw, my respect for Dhoni has gone up a couple of notches. The way he has conducted himself though out the tournament. Dhoni's legacy is just beyond the trophy he's won us. Dhoni is the rise of small town India. (not just in sports). Dhoni is the rise of a responsible pressure soaking captain. Hope to see him in coaching/ or think tank capacity at the helm of team India after he retires. :hatsoff: :isalute:
