ravishingravi Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I say this without any gloating but a sense of sadness. We have always been in awe of natural talent from Pakistan. Truth to be told, they had some awesome batsmen in 90s who performed better than our batsmen. Bowling talent they had in abundance always. Just looking at the current, this team looks regressed by 3 decades atleast. Apart from fast bowling there isn't anything to challenge now that the chuckers can't chuck.

Asim Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Yeah no doubt right now its one of the weakest ever Pak squad but its not any such case since from current 11 only 3,4 makes into full-strength side of 6-8 months time... Shehzad nd Akmal will b back after passing some 'punishment' time, Sohaib to return as well... Yasir shah is not bad but more importantly Irfan and Amir can make bowling-lineup altogether different...

This is Pakistan's best bowling attack and the batting changes too have come off. Who do you reckon will come back in the side on merit?

But bd in the World Cup and post looks better they have some confidence and playing really well. I don't think our b team can whitewash them again. Also pitches during our tour were green mambas. Bd has better chance of winning on a flat track.

Hafeez is sitting duck against seam and new ball, Ajmal is a passanger, 4 Fast Bowlers were doing well so why accomodate Ajmal just for the sake if it. Also batsmen need time settle in, Two guys are making their debut, Azhar is under pressure being labelled as test player, Haris is making his mark while Fawad had his bad days.

Number Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Shehzad should be back for the opening slot with Hafeez. Azhar should take Misbah's spot in the middle order at no. 5. Akmal should be given a run at no 4. Once Hafeez action gets cleared they can play 7 batsman. With Maqsood at 7 they will be alright I think. No. 5-6 ODI ranking where they have been in the last 3 year.
