Good team, familiar conditions, IPL experience for so many youngsters, home support.... will be our last chance to win this tourney for a long time seeing that after 2016 we have T20 WC once every 4 years and Aus,NZ,RSA,Eng,WI etc are in line to host it before SC countries. Only one obstacle... MSD. Was never a good T20 player to start with, even during his peak years was a liability with the bat because of his slow starts and hiding behind everyone in the barring order. On top of that his brain dead captaincy is something all Indian fans are sick off. No logic or common sense, no courage, tactically awful... apart from his calm demeanor nothing positive about his captaincy. Last few years his batting as well as LOI captaincy has gone downhill way too fast. On top of that his biased Rhiti sports/CSK selection ensures we never play our best team. 5/6 CSK dunces in our starting line up is a joke. Thankfully after his corrupt Godfather got booted out and the clouds of Justice Mudgal report hanging over his head, he isn't as all powerful as before. Hope he is booted out of the T20 team and select anyone else as captain, Rohit Sharma doesn't look like a bad choice !!!

Bigg Brother Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Dhoni will lead India in t-20 wc in 2016.Nothing to be surprised about and Dhoni said that in post match presentation of wc sf that he will decide after it..And if he plays,he will be the captain..I know we are screwed not only because of Dhoni,but it is in India.IPL has given so much exposure to so many cricketers that they won't feel like they are playing In alien conditions or away from home.

I remember Gauti providing leg slip for Ashwin consistently against the NZ series where we whitewashed them. As soon as Ashwin came on leg slip was on right away . He stifled them from pinching singles. Just found Gauti's record as captain of India is 6-0!! 100%
sensible-indian Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Dhoni is a brilliant LOI captain in general but guys do see his captaincy of now (this year's IPL). It has been weird to say the least and apart from some occasional brilliance the captaincy hasn't been good.

After his decline In odis and t20s,it was the ipl that we can hope him to succeed as he has been most successful captain of ipl. But his captaincy is also on decline like his batting.

Not only was his captaincy a joke this time but he came ahead of Faf, Jaddu and Bravo in the IPL finals when quick runs were needed. I couldn't believe my eyes. Is he that deluded to think that his hitting prowess is the same after struggling to smash the ball for over a year. A very painful final where I felt like screaming at the pathetic moves of CSK. If we had played properly and lost, I wouldn't be this much annoyed.

Could have dropped Smith for Huseey. Jaddu for a decent batsman like Ankus bains(opener) or Aparajith because Jaddu bowled only few overs. Could have picked Irfan Pathan.
