Hutton Cricket Club registered a clinical win in their Essex League first XI Division One match on the Oakfield floor in England, driving on an impressed efficiency by Hyderabad and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 21-yr- previous Hanuma Vihari. Vihari scored an unbeaten 200 from simply 117 balls — a knock that contained 23 boundaries and 10 sixes. The remainder of his teammates managed 89 runs between themselves. Vihari then got here again in the second innings to select up 5 essential wickets — together with that of the opener Umar Shafiq, who was batting on fifty five — in 20 overs making a gift of sixty four runs. What is Essex league. If someone is part of IPL' date=' then this Essex league got to be nowhere near that level[/quote'] Good observation. An English local club league is indeed nowhere near the level of the richest domestic tournament in world cricket! I'd take this "achievement" with a pinch of salt

really? Your saying this based on a performance in B grade cricket?
This league is definitely not a benchmark for assessing someone's talent. But he certainly one to watch out for......esp for test match cricket.....From his Ranji performances (from last 3 years) ... he has earned his place into Indian A side..... This is where selector should be innovative .... and bring him into next league...right away

I'm not convinced with Rahul from what I've seen including the chancy 100 he got.
Rahul will be a FTB for sure as he has the temperament to score big, but not sure of his technique in tough conditions... Infact in Indian team only Vijay and Rahane can succeed to some extent in tough conditions, others will be walking wickets...

I am not saying he is bad, but lets not get carried away by Essex league performance. Essex themselves are in division 2 of English cricket. The Harris shield in mumbai probably has more depth. What i can say is that good on his lad for going out of the mould and experiencing English cricket. It broadens the horizons. Shows he has the motive.
