Just shows that he is trying to be aggresive but i would have liked to see Pujara for someone. Dhawan, rohit might score a lot but Pujara had to be played over either of them. He needs to realize the importance of Pujara. However, it is exciting to see 5 bowlers.

MK55 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Happy with the team selection. Going with 5 bowlers with 2 genuine pacers is commendable. Right approach. Something which was unfathomable during MSD's time May be Pujara for Rohit. But I thnk Rohit can be more potent on this track. Pujara also struggled a bit against spinners of late. Pujara will surely get his chances.

Even in first innings first day after new ball it was good for batting .We were 220 odd for 4 when Kohli played a poor shot and got out . But second day morning there was cloud cover and Philander used it to wrap up the last 5 wickets quickly .So the wicket was mostly flat once the new ball was seen off even the first day.

So our 'phasst' bowler were so good, that they rattled south africa for 244 in their first innings on the 'so called' flat pitch, later in that first test! And BTW pujara got run out in that 1st innings of that test. Until then he was batting beautifully.

Rohit is probably the worst player to have donned the whites in India's cricketing history. Mark my words, he can never deliver in tough conditions. But he is Kohli's buddy, has backing of the Mumbai lobby while Che is sort of an outsider. Harbhajan is another joke selection. The way I see it Kohli doesn't want competition in terms of captaincy candidates to challenge him in the future. I doubt whether Rahane, Vijay, Ashwin will be a part of our squad in 3 years time.

Is this a joke ?? Who is really challenging him for captaincy anyways. Pujara - the guy has been horrible for a year. Does not even deserve a place in the team and you want him to be the captain. Yeah I know Pujara has better technique, footwork, concentration and patient but all this counts zilch if you can't score runs. 20s and 30s in 100 balls won't make you a captain.

Nohit needs a consistent run like Pujara and if he fails he needs to discarded for ever.
