G_B_ Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Look India need to find a happy middle ground, we need 5-6 pacers who bowl in the 135-140 zone on a regular basis. Thats neither trundling and nor fast. But can provide control and get swing. Especially in the limited overs pace bowling has never been our strength. So lets stop pretending like India is going to find a pack of bowlers who are going to be similar to south africa. I do believe Shami is one such 135-140 bowler in the limited overs.

Its the manner in which he openly criticiizes the pacers is concerning and offers question mark on his leadership/ man management capability

It is not just Dhoni, but our fans too are extremely harsh on our fast bowlers. Look at Pakistanis, someone like Wahab who has been trash for years is being celebrated as the second coming of Marshal after that single spell in the WC. And here, we have people bashing Umesh even though he has been one of our top bowlers for quite a long time.

If he wants to criticize players in the team for their performances,he should start with his buddy Jadeja who's been terrible with both bat and ball for a couple of years now but still somehow gets a place in the playing XI consistently.
