Yadav went for 34 of 8 overs yesterday,today gave just 10 runs in 11 overs :omg: ,he kept it tight,that's all you can expect from the pacers on Chennai pitch

Australian pacers took 4 wickets between them on the same slow track. He just don't have the temperament needed to play the test matches. Maybe I am starting to believe Dhoni was right.

Aussie batsmen will always be better at playing pace than ours.

I believe pitch wud be fresh in first innings and wud have assisted a little bit to pacers in 2 to 3 hours...after that chennai wickets are dry flat n dead. I won't be surprised if indians score 450 now n match draws

Mukund and pujara scoring at a tortoise pace..... Do they dream that scoring century also at that pace will ever help them get into india 11. Even in tests one needs to score at a rate of 4 runs an over to ensure a win but these guys r scoring 2.6 runs an over.... What's the point of having batsmen like that...india 11 n specially KohlI 11 will not have batsman like that.

^^Welcome to test cricket which has sessions where you score faster and slower depending on the situation. Pujara SR was 75 initiatially until he reached 30 odd. He/They slowed down as it is the last hour and there is no need for pyrotechnics, save wickets at the end of the day.

good point. I definitely thought that yadav could fetch one or two wickets with the new ball but once tha ball is old .. its very difficult for even a fast bowler to get wickets on Chennai patta wickets. I have batted on a Chennai wicket myself .. my experience is that even the new ball does not rise higher than the size of the Pads...so its so comfortable for batsmen as they kinda know that all balls will come low straight n fast. Practically No Swing at all. if one has to bowl a bouncer, one has to bowl so short that the batsman has enough time to sit down n duck/leave the ball. I remember scoring a 78 on a Chennai wicket and its fun to bat on such patta wickets against medium pacers for sure... he has given 44 runs in 17 overs - which I believe is quite good bowling. yes he shud have got 1 wicket with the new ball at least- that where he under performed.

See I like Yadav , hes probably our best hope , but we need stop giving stupid excuses for our failures . Did you see the likes of Rahat bowl on flat pitches in SL recently ? with just a couple of games behind him you could see that he has a lot more cricketing intelligence than Yadav . I have seen few flashes of brilliance from Yadav , but far too many matches where he cost us momentum /match ..at some point you have to stop and realize that hes not going to get any better .

See talent has to be supported. Rohit sharma has been supported over pujara kl rahul and even rahane Similarly umesh has pace....knowledge and intelligence. .I agree he is not too good but he has the speed. R u saying likes of vk or other pacers wud do better...no they won't. Offer option do u think we have better fast bowlers or even Trundlers. we don't have better options. Shammi umesh n mohit proved what they are in the world cup

Fast bowling is a physical sport. Sri Lanka sling bowler mallinga is more intelligent now then what he was earlier but now he is 135 to 142 so not a terror. Earlier when he was faster he was a terror n he won Lanka so many matches. Even yadav won some matches for india by picking wickets.

Good point...flashes of brilliance... That only will get international wickets. Simple medium pace trundling at line n length with no swing is not going to fetch international wickets Paras mhambrey got bucketful of wickets in domestic cricket but what he managed internationally..check out.

Yadav needs a consistent run in tests,even aaron .these guys are 'rhythm,confidence' bowlers so as much the more they play the more they get a Chance to find their rhythm.rahat,wahab etc have all played in the SC Conditions in the last year or so they are in a good rhythm.lets see how aaron and yadav do against srl,today yadav bowled 5 maidens and conceded 10 runs in 11 overs,that shows that he has the ability to keep it tight,just needs to find his rhythm permanently

If the wickets aren't easily coming by, then at least you gonna have to try restricting the runs. It doesn't look good on you to always bring up the Pitch excuse. Sandhu has kept it tight, and as a result he took 2 wickets, even though playing on a spin friendly pitche.
