maniac Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 yes was scoring double tons in Eng and SA before that:(( He played one test in England where the team was already mentally shot...still got a wicket and had a bad game with the bat like everyone else.....Scored a 50 in tough conditions which set the tone for the ODI series before getting injured...overall verdict Above average to Good series comparatively. In S.A yes failed in tests not due to some great bowling but due to loss of concentration and he himself is to be blamed-Agree...In ODI's he survived some tough conditions and great bowling and on an average did better than others but still not up to the mark-overall Verdict-Average-Below Average comparatively Not poor by any means. As far as him sledging Johnson goes,People are reading too much into it.....If Ponting sledges Johnson in some domestic game and Johnson gets Ponting out,his reaction would be the same like when he got Rohit out...the reason being Johnson played under these 2 captains and had success so there is respect there....You can tell by the reaction. Sledging Steyn-well these 2 are friends and have had epic battles in IPL where fortunes swung in favor from one to the other at various times,There is nothing but mutual respect there and credit to Steyn where due,he won that round....You dodn't see Steyn reacting like the way he did to Hafeez did you? Hope that busts a lot of myths going around.
