BlueBee Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 A series win abroad after a long long wait :yay: :cantstop:
FischerTal Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Dhoni are you watching? Naaaaaaaaaaa Congrats to the boys :hatsoff: Kohli has his flaws but still the best for test captain
Pagalpanti Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^Banging your head for backing Rohit all along?
sage Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 ^Banging your head for backing Rohit all along? If banging head = celebrating with joy, then yes His 50 was probably one of the most important knocks in the game.
diga Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Congrats.. ps: Dhoni goes & Virat wins his very first series ..dil maange more
adi B Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Long long long long ........effing long wait of 4 years amd 7 series :yay:
adi B Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 If banging head = celebrating with joy, then yes His 50 was probably one of the most important knocks in the game. No it was not, even ashwin mishraa got fifties lol
Number Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Well done. Dhoni had 2 away series wins in his captaincy(NZ and WI, excluding Bang). Virat has already got one.
sage Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 No it was not' date='even ashwin mishraa got fifties lol[/quote'] Mishra and Ashwin came out to bat when there was no pressure with an old ball. You can't compare Rohit had to, as Kalia succinctly put, arrest the slide and came out to bat at arguably the toughest of times at 7/3. His 50 is what laid the platform for our win
rkt.india Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 No it was not' date='even ashwin mishraa got fifties lol[/quote'] Yes it was. we were 17 for 3 when he came into bat. Another wicket with new ball and we would have folded below 100. Kohi also got out early. He and binny partnership was important in 2nd innings. It was imperative to see of the new ball. Mishra and Ashwin could only score because ball had gotten old by then.

His 50 is what laid the platform for our win Credit where its due. Rohit played a very important knock to take India out of trouble but still hasn't done enough to be in the XI over Rahane/Pujara. Has to wait for his chance.
The Realist Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Wonder how Dhoni and Fletcher feel? Still cannot be forgiven for chickening out chasing down a fairly easy total in the West Indies
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Credit where its due. Rohit played a very important knock to take India out of trouble but still hasn't done enough to be in the XI over Rahane/Pujara. Has to wait for his chance. Has done quite well in last 2 Tests. If a 6 batsman theory is adopted, he should be around. If not, well...
express bowling Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 The positive attitude and will to win shown by Virat Kohli, the captain, has contributed a lot to this overseas test series win. Shastri is a positive guy too. At last we are trying to pick the correct types of bowlers that win test matches. That is a big plus for me. Well done team India.
sensible-indian Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 No it was not' date='even ashwin mishraa got fifties lol[/quote'] All those 50s had context. But still Rohit shouldn't play next test in place of Pujara.
