vishalvirsingh Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 i was impressed by not just Varun but Umesh as well in this test.few reasons why..1. bouncer that hit Elgar in his body was deadly by varun. One bouncer to amla was also very impressive.2.few of varun's bouncers were lethal and definitely scared the batters.3.At least one catch was dropped of Umesh Yadav and he too bowled between 139 to 145k...he shud have also got at least 1 wicket.so in all both fast bowlers bowled equally well. doccricket 1
vishalvirsingh Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 its very difficult for even a good batsman of international class to face a 6 over spell of a 140 to 145k bowler and that's why whenever varun n umesh are doing even an average Job they are likely to get wickets.. n if they get their line n length as per the pitch n condictions they can get 2 to 3 wickets in a 6 over spell.that's the difference I feel similiarly when Ishant gets his pace line n length right he gets 2 wickets in a spell n looks even more deadly. doccricket 1

Does that mean those jokers will be selected in LOI squads to be carted around?^ Yea, why are those two given Contracts!??Dhoni is still the captain of both T20 and ODI teams and he has openly expressed his disdain for fast bowlers and prefers trundlers like Dhawal kulkarni and S.Aravind. So, it is obvious they have to be given same contract as Aaron who will be only playing few Tests under Kohli.
