Asia Cup - Who will Ind play in the final

Yes....This current T20 playing 11 does not have 4 of our quickest pacers...and all 5 pacers who have been chosen to play tests in recent times. ( Aaron, Umesh, Ishant, Shami and Bhuvi ). On these green tops, playing some of them would have made our attack more potent.

yup but I'll be happy if umesh,Pishant and shami continue to perform in tests and I believe they are class bowlers on seaming and swinging pitches,add booby as well.this current t20 bowling line up is perfect for indian conditions ,had the world cup been in England or nzl ,we'd have seen a completely different seam dominant attack consisting of shami,Booby,pishant,aaron,yadav.

Now the problem for Pakistan is,their bowlers will fare well in the asia cup pitches but will the same 4 pace attack do well on indian pitches? Absolutely not,they need to play 2 spinners minimum in india

Very valid point. This Pakistani attack will look much less potent in India. And...our attack has been basically chosen with WT20 in India in mind.  It would have been different if we were to play in England, SA  etc.

But just for fast bowling's sake   ( not a practical view keeping in mind the WT20 )  ......i would have loved to see Aaron, Ishant, Umesh, Bumrah and Pandya bowl  on this track yesterday.

BD have a chance too as it appears to be a team least likely to have an off day. The team probably will not have an exceptional day but will try to put a decent total and create pressure with its bowling so if the other team cracks, it could win 

Coming back to Pak vs SL, b/w the two I will probably give a slight edge to Pak. It would be the last league game so one or two of the Pak hacks may be due for a good day. In this tournament, Amir is the most dangerous bowler in the first 4-5 overs. 

But it could be pointless if BD somehow manages to beat both SL and Pak. Added BD to the poll as well!

I don't rule out Pak making it. Remember, you guys still play UAE and SL to win and that is very much possible for a win.

Below is what teams need to do to get in to the final:

Team - Based on points (3 wins) OR Based on NRR in case of a tie on points (2 wins + healthy NRR)

* Ind - Beat one of Pak or UAE OR Not lose its remaining games by huge margins 

* BD - Beat Pak OR Not lose to Pak by a huge margin to maintain a healthy NRR position 

* Pak - Beat BD, SL and UAE OR at least win two games and If it loses a game, not to lose by a huge margin 

* SL - Beat both Ind and Pak OR At least win a game by a huge margin to have a healthy NRR

^ Agree, I rather feel BD tougher opponent for Pak right now, as comp to SL

Looking at things, We are technically through. I can't see us loosing to UAE. But the other finalist spot is wide open. If i had to put my money, I would put it on BD first and then PAK. I don't think SL will even win with PAK with their fragile batting. This tourney would have been more interesting had AFG qualified rather than PAK 2.0.
