Texy Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Bd fans...lots to cheer for...Runner up in Asia cup...losing to #1 team..no shame in that. Can't recognize this BD team from 10 years ago. At least now, they have self belief. 2nd best Asian team atm. Much ahead of Lanka and Pakistan in both ODI and T20s. One thing for certain...NO one takes BD lightly anymore. Gone are those days. Plethora of proven newcomers. Great bowling unit. Keep it up...all the best for WT20. From, Die hard India fan. zakk, chewy, tweaker and 3 others 6
zakk Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 agree, badhiya team bani hai ab BD ki hope ki o aur improve kare
Yami Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 India and srilanka played final of Asia cup 9 times , which India lost 3 timeSo bangers did good progress than other feeble Asian country.Today former fast bowler and x-Pakistan captain told , we do not need to play single game at dharamshala because safety and respectFirst priority for usWell Pakistan is not only team in WC but mr. mody Guarantee for safety of All players.Today 3 member security team will inspect and reportt Pak governent , sourab10forever 1
Temujin Khaghan Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 yeah i feel they are a very good team. maybe we should invite them over for a 5 match ODI series in India after the T20WC gets over because they will be more than competent. I wonder be surprised if they lose it 2-3
Stuge Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 He is fan of this team :xdSent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
chewy Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 They have become a decent ODI unit. Bangla have several batsmen who average 30 plus with 1000 runs plus and now have some good bowlers to back them. Bangla do moan about not getting enough away tours (rightly so) but that is because of the perception of host boards regarding them not being lucrative for their home markets.Bangla need to change that perception (i.e. be seen as a competitive opponent) by winning a major competition. Every Test playing nation barring Bangla and Zim have won something. There is ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy. Win a major ICC competition and invitations to tour will follow suit. Also in my opinion Bangla are better placed than Sri Lanka and to some extent Pakistan to continue producing consistently good players. The large population (and fan following) gives them greater resources than SL. Also their current economic trajectory have them placed to overtake Pakistain's GDP in the next 10 to 20 years. And considering stability of Bangladesh, the BCB could become the second richest cricket board very soon.
chewy Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Note: Who knows, Bangladesh might be already richer than Pakistan on GDP per capita terms, since no one knows current Pakistan population accurately, last Pakistan census was done nearly 18 years ago! Stuge 1

In next 5years they will on par with Strong teams, if they keep doing well in LOI .Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

gakgupta Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I liked the way BD has progressed. But it has a long way to go in test cricket. They don't have world class spinners to succeed in sub-continent and world class pace bowling unit to succeed in non-subcontinent conditions.Having said that, they are a very good one day side and will keep on improving....they are throwing in some good players like mustafizur, shabbir and others Stuge 1
Adi_91 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I will never underrate Pakistan and Sri Lanka. These two sides are just going through a lean patch. They will be back very soon. This WT20 will tell us if Pakistan can recover from this slump, that is if they decide to play in the tournament. bangladeshifan 1
sandeep Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Bangladesh look a better unit because their batting finally has class, and depth. Soumya and Mahmudullah are their 2 best bats, and this Sabbir guy is showing a lot of promise. With 3 quality bats, you can be competitive in limited overs cricket. I think their bowling looks better than it really is at home, but they have something to work with there. Definitely the 2nd best batting lineup after India in Asia, no question. SL are really going through a major rebuild and struggling to find international class players across the entire XI. Pakistan batsmen - so bad that they celebrate every individual milestone like its all the Eids combined. I mean, after 10 years, khatmal jr is their big batting hope, and then its selfie princess shehzadi. That's really a sad state of affairs.
Yami Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 India were lucky to escape minus mustafizur BD_NARA_KOODHIS, sourab10forever and bangladeshifan 1 2
gakgupta Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 India were lucky to escape minus mustafizurThis is just ridiculous .... india could have easily won it even with mustafizurSent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk Trollhunter and bangladeshifan 1 1
zen Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 If I m not wrong in 2012 too, BD reached the final of AC. It is definitely an improved or even improving side but I would not assign a rank right now as like other teams it is being compared with, it has its strengths and weaknesses In this AC, UAE did well to somewhat run a few teams close bangladeshifan 1
JaFanatic Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Is Mustafizur Rahman still injured ? He will be vital for them in this world t20
Yoda-esque Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Only in BD, something like India in the 90sSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Iconoclast Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 BD are good at home .. but so are most teams now.I think they deserve to get more away tours.India should invite them for a full tour instead of playing Aus and Lanka a million times.
