Virat Kohli is named Man of the Tournament, although he's not there to collect the trophy. The crowd will make do with giving Sourav Ganguly another huge cheer.

Kohli has improved a lot in T20s. Even till 2014, he was an average T20 player but 2014 WT20 changed his fortunes.

Kohli is a thinking cricketer and works hard and practices to improve his shortcomings.  In an interview he was saying that the best way to succeed in all 3 formats for a batsman of his type was .....not to change his basic batting style irrespective of format. In T20s, he just goes for more shots and tries to place them in gaps for maximum effect.

A player who thinks and improves can be such an asset to the team.

What is amazing is his self awareness. He realised for him trying to hit sixes is not good percentage cricket. He focuses on hitting gaps and minimizing dot balls and he is easily able to hit SR of 150. he hit 0 sixes in the Asia Cup and basically just plays it like an ODI innings but with lot more urgency.

thoroughly deserved

If only this mentality rubbed off on some the other passengers in the team.

The likes of Dhawan and Raina have shown little improvement, in the latter's case he has gone backwards.
