I am envy of this England's ODI unit.

They rested Buttler after injury yesterday & his replacement was 'Bairstow'.

Buttler

Bairstow

Sam Billings

Ben foakes(According to English fans he will make debut soon)

These are the wk options available for England.

Now look at their pace battery.

Woakes

Wood

Plunkett

Willy

Jordan(Medicore though)

Stokes

Ball

Allrounders:-

Moeen Ali

Ben stokes

Woakes

Even Plunkett,Rasheed,Jordan has first class century.

After 2015 wc debacle, they have found amazing combination after saking big names like Anderson,Broad.Best LOI team after Australia at present.

it's a cyclic thing for England, they have been having these ODI mini-renaissance (even reaching No.1, CT finals) in last couple years (based on premise of rebuilding), they go on a role, then come to India get battered black and blue, go off to Australia same story, then change their squad last minute before WC and get knocked out, and cycle repeats.

They are probably the second best ODI side in the world currently, marginally behind AUS due to Starc.
Batting wise they are the most exciting side with an explosive middle-lower order batting. With Moen, Ali, Woakes and Plunkettt, they bat all way down up to number 10.
Bowling has vastly improved and has got all bases covered. Wood and Plunkett can comfortably  bowl 90+mph. Woakes can swing at decent pace and Jordan isn't so bad at the death.
The best part is that the average age of the side is just about right  to contest in 2019 WC and other major tournaments.  Would be disappointing if they don't manage to win some.

They are also looking to add tymal mills which would give their lineup a complete new dimension.

" Unfortunately for Mills, his story of rising through the ranks to the England set-up is tinged with sadness.

The speedster suffers from a congenital back condition meaning he is now only able to bowl in short spurts, making four-day – and therefore Test – cricket an absolute no-no.

T20 is now his only option, but boy is he suited for it.  "

More than talent, winning big tournaments is a matter of mindset of the team as a whole.... a will to win and belief in themselves that they can.

England has never been able to win any ICC tournament in ODIs, whether it is the much coveted World Cup or the consolation prize Champion's Trophy.

Till they actually win something, it is difficult to rate their ODI side that highly.

Even  South Africa has had some amazing talent over the years but they have never won the 50-over World Cup due to their mindset.
