A firm is answerable to even an independent audit firm let alone SC. BCCI is answerable to why or why not it can implement the recommendations. Ignoring it is not an answer and never should be. Else there is no point having law in any country. Everyone can create their own laws and do whatever they want.

No, What it meant was peoples choice should be respected. Business houses should not be unnecessarily broken.  

 in this case SC is making a ruling on basis of guidelines like equality,equal opportunity,  transparecy and other similar stuff. Its recommedation may be legal, but risk weakeng BCCI clout and may be lead to bankruptcy. Unlike other sport  BCCI is not run by taxpayers money. It earns its living and files return like any other corporate house

That's what I am saying. If BCCI feels some of the recommendations are not in the best interest of Cricket in India then it should explain why with evidence. This is a requirement even for simple audit recommendations in Corporates. Ignoring and just saying we won't implement is not the answer.

The BCCI isn't public property. No one has a problem with punishing the BCCI if they do something illegal, but they are a private entity. The recommendations should remain just that, recommendations, the Lodha committee is threatening the BCCI to do what it says.

Evidence is for something that has happened in the past, for future there can be estimates and i am sure Lodha panel will not tolerate or entertain any such thing.  All this is making India look like a police state.

Excellent article, although i find the the dig on Tamil Nadu unnecessary given the already low priority they seem to receive from BCCI with cricket matches schedule( pongal test is history) and in IPL ( no teams necessary).

I didn't mean that as a dig at TN. I apologize if it came off that way.

 

My article was actually a post I wrote on this forum in a topic of a similar subject matter. In there someone was complaining that TN only has 1 board, Bihar has none while GJ and MH have 3 a piece. My intention was only to say that any state can get more boards if they meet the required standards set by the BCCI. There isn't any anti Bihar movement in the BCCI, it is just no one has made a proper board/proper investments there.

 

Don't worry, Chennai will probably get its IPL team back after this season

Sorry but you are slightly wrong here. The whole reason for this cleanliness drive initiated by Aditya verma was this injustice done to Bihar by BCCI. Infact bihar team should have stayed because MP and UP got ranji teams not Chhatisgarh/Uttaranchal. Jharkhand could have got a team later as they had the ground and it could have been smooth. This season was a good chance for bihar to be back as everything was in order and there was no need for ground too since all matches are on neutral grounds.
