3 out of 4 test venues against Aus are first time venues for Tests

All these new test venues will be under scrutiny from ICC wrt pitches and will try to make it flat so as to get full 5 days.

 

New test venues:

1) Pune

2) Ranchi

3) Dharmasala

 

and then the manhoos Test ground for India i.e. Bangalore

 

Dharmasala is likely to be paradise/home away from home  for Aus pacers.

 

What was the need to unleash some many new test venues all at once ??

Get some spin venues in. Will be stupid if we dish out flat pattas or dharamsala like pacer friendlies!

Only Ranchi will be rank turner. Even Pune has a lot of pacers.

Interesting. I cant understand the sudden rush for introducing new venues. We should prepare turning tracks (not necessarily rank turners that finish a game in 3 days, but wickets where matches go to 4 or 5 days but produce a result).

It's better to play in these new venues which hopefully attracts crowds than repeatedly playing in the regular ones in front of empty stadiums .

I hate this.. They give us a match against Bangladesh and rookie venues matches against Australia..

I would want more matches in Indore though. Vizag was good too.
