I got fooled (and not for the first time)..this pitch played better than expected

But not in the safe zone yet...need a lead of 150+.....looking forward to a Kohli 200  and a jayant 100.

 

started bland but breaking up....but still upset that the initial blandness gave England a shot too....giving England who are our bogey team a shot was totally unacceptable and that's what pissed me off.

 

but full credit to ash,jadeja, Vijay, chepu and kohli and also Jayant for keeping us in the game.

 

admit it England did give us a scare....yeah I admire the beauty of test cricket too but only when we are winning...beauty of test cricket is left to neutral games and stuff.

 

anyways hope we seal the deal on day 4 itself but looks like there is an exciting day 5 ahead of us and all 4 results possible which is good even though I wanted only 1 result possible.

 

anyways point is pitch played better than expected.

We have failed to recognize the fantastic n measured innings by Vijay n more so Kohli, the wkt is not easy to play n it was very tough the bowlers were attacked n so could not get settled n shows the genius of Kohli in the way he n his team approached the innings.

It might get a bit easier now as wkt will slow down a bit or is expected to, this wkt is a slippery one n most teams I can think of would struggle to reach 300 against good spinners, also England got the best of the track on day 1 n I doubt they will cross 200 in 2 innings

Only OP was fooled.this is a good pitch for a team which is already up 2-0. There is no need to make Rashid and Ali into heroes by preparing a Turner.

There was a lot of turn on day. Ball is turning from first session day one, but it is not a slow. Scoring is also easy as ball comes on the bat for stroke play. You need very accurate spin bowling otherwise you will go for runs. Mohali and vizag were not Turner's but they were slow pitches with variable bounce. This pitch has consistent bounce.
