So was Chopra

I am not sure you are actually "watching" the match.

quick question are you making your assumption based on cricinfo scoreboard and strike rate? I would bet good money on it.

I am and he's a strokeless wonder. Waits for deliveries on stumps or leg so he can hit them through on side. nearly got Warner out before lunch coz he couldn't even get a single to rotate the strike.

Playing well. Clarke on microphone said it that he wants to see him in India even though Shaun Marsh might be available by then.

As an India fan I would prefer Renshaw to be in the XI instead of Marsh. I can see Renshaw bogged down and Indian bowlers getting him cheaply.

The more left handers Australia will send to India, the more Ashwin will grab them like ghee laden sweets.

Yes, me too. Though not doubting that I do see Renshaw also doing well for Australia down the line, but since he is still new, Shaun Marsh to me will be more handy for Australia in India and could score more runs against us than Renshaw.

Depends. Yes Ashwin is bowling really well to actually both lefties and righties right now, but Marsh and Warner opening and adding 50-60 runs to seamers before Ashwin comes will be perfect start for Aus on Indian wickets. Hence, inportant to even try introducing Ashwin and Jadeja, sometimes way early.

It is so easy for casual cricket viewers to bust out the Akash chopra comparisons.....a steady opener playing with an attacking batsman....the similarities stop there.

players like sehwag and warner take the pressure of their opening partners...so people like akash chopra could just block and get the best seat in the house and do nothing and the scoreboard will keep running.

usually what happens is once such a player gets out and this happened with Australia with rogers as well if these players don't cash in on the start once these players get out, it is in fact advantage opposition because there is so much time in the game as test cricket is all about time left.

i see Renshaw more in the gambhir mould than chopra...someone who will kick on from a good start and go on and on.

Threat = Smith/Warner just like Root and Cook

Expected or could do well - Khawaja/Marsh just like Bairstow

I will put Renshaw in expected to do well category. He is not a "threat" to India

Sure good enough...because he is unproven...I will go a step further and call him a threat...just a prediction

167 from 275 with a s/r of 60+ told you he wasn't a akash chopra type one dimensional plodder

see even more big things for this kid...only 20 yrs old

But against a very ordinary bowling.

bowling attack of Aamir, Wahab, Yasir is not ordinary.

that  remark is conclusively prooven by the thread "Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Let's all laugh at the padosis :) " :p:

But watched the first session yesterday. I think Warner had scored a hundred by lunch while facing 15+- less ball then Renshaw.

He has made it way easy for Renshaw who was in early twenties by lunch.

So attack may be good on paper but effectively it was demotivated pathetic Pakistani bowling
