How to drop a player who scored 300 in the last innings?

The selectors will have to find an answer to that question when India next plays a test match.Karun Nair ust scored a 300,but when Rahane returns he will have to be dropped.How will the management drop Nair and bring Rahane in?There is no question of keeping Rahane out of the team.How will it play out?Or will we play 4 bowlers?

 

Team would be like this,

Pujara

Kohli

Rahane/Nair

Ashwin

Parthiv/Saha

Jayant Yadav

For now, yes. He is anyway going through his worst phase in test cricket.

If we are doing that, need to drop Pujara when we go overseas too.

Easy really. Vijay dropped. Pujara can open with Rahul. Rahane at 3. Kohli at 4 and Nair at 5.

 

We can at least try this against East Pakistan and see how it goes.

Or we can also push Saha/Rishan Pant to open with Rahul. 

 

Pujara at 3, Kohli at 4, Rahane 5, Nair at 6 then.

Its the same issue I guess with Vijay Lokesh and Pappu. Do you go for proven experience of Vijay or those who are in better form?

Pujara and Kohli batting at No.3 and No.4, has given our batting a solid look in India...should not change that.

 

If Vijay is rested then Parthiv should open and  Nair should come at no.6, with Rahane at no.5

How's Vijay not in form, hundred a test before this. While PP is just a 50-60 batsman.

I still dot see a bastman as talented as rahane but he got the most of the situation and deserves a shot at the aussies.

Nair plays short pitched balls better than Rahane and Rohit.

If Kohli could replace well established Vijay with a out of form Dhawan he sure can replace out of form Rahane with a in-form Nair.

 

Drop Rahane.... Kohli must follow what he preaches.

Why drop Vijay? He has 2 centuries this series and has been our one of our best bats overseas as well.
