Virender Sehwag may replace Sanjay Bangar as head coach of Kings XI Punjab

In what could prove to be an important move, reports in the Times of India have now emerged that Kings XI Punjab may replace present head coach Sanjay Bangar with former India opener and current mentor of the franchise Virender Sehwag for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

Punjab have been ordinary team for a while now along with Delhi. Viru as Head Coach will make sure they get to playoffs at least.

At this level coaching is more about fine tunning rather than technique. Their was no better player with clearer mindset than viru. If only players cpuld learn to be as positive as him.

In general i feel Sachin viru yuvi. these are inspirational cricketers

 

Dravid Kumble etc these are thinking cricketers.

 

I have a sneaky feeling more than Viru his long time opening partner GG might be a good coach

we are short in this country of young Indian managers/coaches. If viru can prove himself to be a capable person whose to say he cant/wont succeed kumble. I for one am glad BCCI chose an Indian over a foreigner. Under Duncan barring the England series we won at home and were shit abroad. At the worst case as things stand now, Kumble will probably equal DF. 

 

I think eventually Mahela /Sanga will be SL coaches and that SL guy with BD is doing a good job as well. Asian teams with asian coaches.
