You can dream about it LOL. Pandey is sure to play in England.Bumrah and Shami as well. Two among Ashwin Jadeja and Bhuvi will play.More often than not it will be Ash and Jaddu.

Would be absolute stupidity to not play Bhuvi on seaming wickets in England, he can run through sides there which even Shami cannot

What the hell did i say? If he plaus well in next few games, he keeps his olace, and if he does not bowl well, Kohli might olay a bowler then with the trio mentioned in OP.

Why is this simple thing so hard to understand.

again in simple english- Panday does good in next few games, he keeps his place and if he bowls poor in next 4 games he might not play many games in CT

Who said in danger. Please read post again. I am having him play all next games. Please read the post again pleaseeeeeee

We are playing in England for the Champion's Trophy

Pitches may be flat there but won't be a gripping pitch like this one

We would be needing a fast-bowler + big hitter batsman  even more there.

T20I  performance won't be that important as a decision maker for CT as it is an ODI tournament

Pandya will play unless he is injured.

Knee jerk was there when in Umesh's thread bhuvi's stats were shared dor no reason. Check that thread and see it. That is when the whole thing started. Asking for someone who might cost us games in future isn't knee jerk. His replacement which can do wonders for us like it showed today, isn't knee jerk.

Knee jerk is asking for Pandya to be dropped etc after one poor outing like today whichI am glad no one is doing.

Look, I am with you on Bhuvi playing ahead of Umesh in ODI's. Everyone gets smashed in ODI's. But asking for someone to be dropped when he had done a decent job in previous series based on just one game is a knee-jerk reaction . Repeating it again, BK is the most expensive Indian bowler ever and is 3rd on all time most expensive bowler list. Do you want him to be dropped since he can lose us some games in future based just on that one game?

Taking one wicket a game is running through sides?

I think playing Jadeja or ash at no. 7 is a bad move, they don't have the big shots. At no. 7 we need a big hitting all rounder

Yeah I agree with you, I put them there in that order only to list our main selected players. If Pandya, is selected he would bat at 7. If Bhuvi is selected he would bat ahead of Shami. Bumrah is a pure number 11.

Pandya will surely play as he is a big-hitting-batsman too and is not in competition with the specialist pacers.

I'm all for Pandya playing, but we will have to live with the potential days when he bowls sub-par. That means one of Yuvi,or Jadhav, (or  Rohit:phehe:) will have to make up the balance of overs.

It also presents a difficult choice for Kohli with Bhuvi and Bumrah being vastly different bowlers in terms of strengths and weaknesses.

What next few games? There is a total of ONE ODI left before we play the CT.

Again I know all of that and hence will say again, if Kohli feels his bowling is not uptoo mark after monitoring his bowiing next few games then he might change his plan of playing him as all rounder. His bowling is vital to us.

Otherwise all rounders like him are important to have in every place.

One game and three twenty20s. Even though ct is 50 overs, Kohli would see and monitor his bowling after today's game.

T20 and ODIs are different formats. Pandey may not even get to bat in T20s because he is number 7.

Unless he is injured Pandey will play the CT.

There is only ONE ODI left between now and CT

T20 is a different ball game and does not matter for CT

It matters. Just like if Pant does well he will perhaps permanently for little while get picked in 50 overs over other players like probably Dhawan. Similarly, few bad bowling spells can cost gams to india and it can cost some players even their place.

This is not just true for Pandya, but even for someone like Bhuvi. If he bowls extremely bad in all three games then he might not get picked in England as first choice.
