Virat preferred Mandeep over Jadhav last season in the IPL, iirc. Let's see how good Mandeep is. He was a hot prospect with KXIP a few seasons ago.

Some of these selectors are a bunch of monkeys...and still continue to persist with has beens like Yuvi and Gambhir (in tests)

i get it last name is Ravi Chandran and not Ravindra Singh or Ravindra Choubey and he probably lives near chepauk and not Chandini Chowk that is probably a big NO in @Cricketics dictionary

We should play Mishra and Jadeja instead and Jadhav can be used hitter and spinner both. 

 

Mishra is always our best spinner in twenty20 in IPl and stuff. Surely a better LOI spinner. Even can give Kuldeep a chance ahead of Ashwin actually.

Didn't he play the warm up against england and was brutally exposed? Seems like a very limited player from what I've seen of him

Why doesn't dhoni retire from t20Is, what's the point of playing meaningless t20s, t20 is place to test and nuture new players, other than the t20 world cup, a t20 match has no value at all, dhoni is an absolute hypocrite, he wanted old players like ganguly and dravid out of the odi team to build a young team for world cup and now he himself is hanging on and blocking a place for the youngster even in the tfreaking20 

 

Dhoni shouldn't forget that the only reason he got an opportunity to become captain cool in 2007 was because senior players like sachin, ganguly, dravid opted out of the t20 world cup to give chance to the new players and here he is 10 years later blocking youngsters in meaningless t20 matches

I don't remember the match against England. 

 

He played 3 T20Is against Zimbabwe, averaged 43.5 at 119 strike rate. So who knows how good he is.

I think quota selections and horse-trading still happens, but at the margins - for A tours, Irani squads, or at most a squad selection against weaker teams.  And its rampant at the state level - I still remember the Saurashtra example - guy is not even worthy of being in the ranji squad, but is captain.  And paid top $$$ by the Rajkot based IPL team.  total bakwaas.

Totally ridiculous squad picked for T20Is. Selectors should have waited for ODIs to end before picking T20I squad. There was no need to pick the squad so early 

Kedar Jadhav has to play the T20Is. He can groom his finishing ability there in the T20Is and prepare himself for the upcoming CT. Jadhav is a must in all ODIs and T20Is we play till 2019 atleast
