Cricketics Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Brilliant knock today. Almost took us home. Can't believe that he has been left out of twenty20 squad. . This guy should be regular in the twenty20s. Made for that format. They should put him and replace him with Ashwin who shouldn't bowl in twenty20s . New guy 1
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Forget T20Is, maybe he needs to be considered for Tests.
Texan Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 The squad was picked earlier, so they did not see the knocks he played here. If someone gets injured, he might even get in.
Cricketics Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 Just now, Texan said: The squad was picked earlier, so they did not see the knocks he played here. If someone gets injured, he might even get in. Yes, but players like Pandey wll hardly get chance so better to play this guy and keep him in the squad. Pandey can be used only as opener as honestly I do not see him being part of middle order in twenty20s. Wonder what they were thinking when picking the squad. They have to give Pant all 3 games as opener with Rahul. Actually, they should.

You always come back with old, boring conspiracy theories which never ever make sense. I think people from your region where you grew up probably always play nepotism game in everything and hence you think the same thing every time any Indian selection is made. Usually people tend to think the way the do because of their past experiences with similar things in their life. I am sorry to hear that you were part of nepotism or were a product of it. sandeep and Laaloo 2

Pujara too must have been for Delhi that I praised him. Dhoni probably played for Delhi also and perhaps so did Bhuvneshwar Kumar, KL Rahul, Jadeja and pretty much every Indian player I ever praised a bit must have played for Delhi. Shami once took a flight via stop over at IGI airport, he is from Delhi also that means as I praised him a lot in last few years over original Delhite like Ishant. I am sorry I did not praise Dada Ganguly enough to change your opinion. I regret. kosingh and Yoda-esque 2

I think Indian fans in general and the selectors are past the days of regional biases when it comes to selections. lot's of stereotypes remain , but when it comes to selecting the best XI, i really dont see selectors and fans being too attached to their local boys like before. Forever Indian Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 For those who did not follow the 2014 A tour to Australia, Kedhar Jadhav was not picked for the first 3 matches and still went on to win the Man of the Series award with his performance in 3 league matches and final. These were his scores: 1st League match vs National Performance Squad: India A were 63/5 chasing 235 and Jadhav scored 87 from 53 balls 2nd League match vs Australia A: India A were 38/3 chasing 231 and Jadhav scored 52 from 50 balls Final vs Australia A: India A were 51/3 chasing 275 and Jadhav scored 78 from 73 balls [against bowling of Kane Richardson, B Cutting, Mitchell Marsh, C McKay] He regularly rescued the team from poor starts to win those matches. He ended up as the Man on the Series playing just half the number of matches, and was also the Man of the Match in Final. That was when I actually started believing this guy should be in the ODI team asap. If he had been brought in at that time, I am sure India would have had a wonderful finisher for 2015 WC.
