Yes . If you look at it  Mushfiqur made Test debut 6 years before Kohli did. Their growth rate is very slow.

BD team needs some danda and ruthlessness.  Mushfiq is not good enough behind the stumps, or as captain.  They need some tough love as a team - they get too much love from their fans and act as if they are superstars.  Any team will make mistakes when they are under pressure, but what BD have shown is that they don't need pressure to make mistakes.  They can make a bagful all on their own.

 

This Taskin fella, is so over-hyped, has been bowling utter tripe for 2 days.  But because he has a bit of pace, and bowls an occasional good ball, he will continue to get a long rope and tons of adulation from toygers.

Also, don't forget they lost the toss in batting conditions against an in-form batting. India also conceded many against England when England batted first.

You don't depend on all stars lining up to win a test, given that they got their test status  18 years back.

They will learn as we invite them more. We dont play pak anymore, we need a 'friendly' nation to play passionate cricket against, till the time Afg becomes a test team which should be a couple of years from now, we need to get BD up. SL unfortunately dont seem to be able to play well in India, they are strong elsewhere and can beat us though.

He actually disappointed with his pace, i thought he would be faster than that reading all the hype. Just a greenhorn who has not yet learnt to be accurate consistently.

but the toygers are splooging all over themselves over his "pace".    He is basically a similar bowler like Hardik Pandya - and unfortunately he's their best bowling prospect after that walking haddi pasli  "Fizz".   I like that skinny kid, and I want him to do well, but I expect him to go the Ajantha Mendis route unfortunately.  He's not going to be anywhere near as effective once teams figure out his disguised cutters.  

 

I saw a little bit of that Subhashish Roy fella bowling in the NZ test, while waiting for some other game to start - and he actually looked useful in that couple of overs I saw.  But he's on the bench for this test.

Come on man. Mustafizur Rahman is one of the best, if not the best, bowlers in T20s. Consistent performer. rate him higher than our Burma, pandya, bhuviand Nehra in T20s. Our bowlers are also pretty good but Mustafizur is simply better.

The first point is such a spurious argument used by toygers.  You cannot compare modern day cricket to the 1930s.  That's just a retarded excuse.  

 

And its not even about BD losing.  Its the manner in which they are losing, that is the issue.  There's no shame in losing to #1 team playing at home.  But show some application, do the basics.  For all the flak the west indies get, those guys worked their ass off in the India test series.  They still lost due to the gulf in skill, but at least they applied themselves and worked hard.  I'm sorry but I can't say the same about this BD team.  Poor display of temperment and execution, apart from that Taijul fella.

Sorry, disagree.  If you had taken a snapshot of Ajantha Mendis's stats in the 1st year or so off his career, and projected outwards, you would claim he was going to outdo Warne and Murali.  When he is not even in the squad anymore.  

 

I like Mustafiz, he's a good bowler, but he's over-reliant on his disguised cutter.  The day that gets figured out - and given the modern day tools - video analysis, repeated opportunities to bat agaisnt him in league cricket etc, its only a matter of time.  Add to that, his fitness issues.  Again, not hating on the kid, he's a good player and I hope he develops as a bowler and stays effective.  But I don't see that as a given.  Yet.
