That level of difficulty is experienced by batsmen in 90% of their matches.

Huh ... no !

Most pitches / conditions are easy to bat on these days and , even  earlier, there were far more flat pitches than people think, which is why there were so many draws.

Batting in England was never considered difficult due to the not-too high and not-too-low bounce and pace of the pitches, which makes it easier to counter the lateral movement.

This is a new issue of modern batters as they don't play any county cricket.

Yes, that and ODI cricket has affected their ability to play swing which has been case with Kohli.

He is very good in pressure situations, extremely good on flat pitches, but below others in difficult pitches with bowlers bowling well.

If team is 200 (or less)-6, then you can almost close your eyes and predict that Kohli would have dismissed without doing much

Was the batting effort truly exceptional and one of the best in history. Otherwise there is no other explanation that inning ending up among top 5 scores in WI.

Have you considered the possibility that, if Kohli is still around, the team does not collapse as many times  .... as they still have the confidence that things are still ok  ?

Collapses are usually the result of panic or confusion when the team is good.

You are being too statistical and theoretical.

Just watch the match the next time it is shown, which is often.

The pitches they played in 90s and early 2000 where mostly flat and England did not have a good pace attack till recently .

Agarkar and kumble did not score on similar pitches or against same class of bowlers .

I don't watch LOI innings that closely....but his Asia Cup knock against Pakistan in 2016 on a green track with seam and swing against Amir, Wahab, Irfan and Sami. ..... was an excellent innings.

Initial overs only.

Agreed but he is not very good in pressure situations. He is inconsistent in pressure situations with high highs and low lows. Either excellent or thoroughly poor.

You can always be sure that if Indian team is down to 130-5 in ODIs or 220-6 in tests, then Kohli would have failed.

yes that just means everything depends on him ,he fails team fails

Kohli has still not rectified his technique against outswing.

He is not making any adjustments for the outswinging ball .... still going for the expansive drives to the away going ball.

Needs to work on this issue ASAP.

He needs to leave more outswinging deliveries, especially at the beginning of the innings.

Don't play away from his body .... play only when the ball is under his eye.

It means he can't score when it's difficult to do so.

cant be case whenever he fails it was difficult to bat

50 low score low score 100 100 and today duck ,obviously all big scores were on flat track and other three were difficult conditions, sorry but i dont believe in this logic

Flat track bully owned yet again. Was this pitch not flat enough? Nah he wants 375 wallah pitches to get going. And his chamchas shamelessly compare him to GOATdulkar and Sir Viv.
