How is that luck. Without DRS umpire's decision would stay anyway.

Talking specifically about LBWs.How you take review for that its all about lottery it seems. If batsman has not hit it,they try their luck while reviewing LBW.

Umpires call shouldn't cost you a review. That's one change ICC needs to make. Apart from that I think other rules are good for close calls.

Um.  You're about 4 months late with this post.  But that's OK.  Vannakam.

It used to piss me so much when we  played all the test matches without DRS because of a stupid stand. It cost us so many matches. And then Indian fans blamed the umpires and referees playing the victim card.

What's about this new umpires call. Warner lbw impact was clearly outside off stump. But it was mentioned as umpires call. What does that mean?

+1 Especially when ball tracking shows that the ball is hitting the stumps in case of LBWs. Simon Doull raised this point during the test match vs Ban.

Agree, I finally got to understand what umpire's call was all about, when India got a few in their favor. Later, when Jadeja was denied one, it made total sense. On field calls still stay on priority. Missing wkts is a total howler, which when reviewed gets overturned. They want to retain the human element still, quite rightly so. Hitting outside the wkts barely can be overturned. But, still if it looks out on first view, it should hold good.

A team shouldn't lose a review on umpire's call, that's the only fault in this system

True. But now some Australians are crying about it after criticizing India all these years for refusing DRS

Who exactly is crying about it?

Please provide some evidence to support your statement.

The ball must have had a fraction of a millimeter just inside the line at the point of impact.

Thanks! In the Warner lbw case ball was fully outside off stump. That's why I was confused.

Generally speaking giving priority to umpires decision on borderline cases is a good thing.

Though I don't agree with the over the top proud English commentators, Ian Botham did raise the point of allowing the team to keep the reviews in case, if an LBW decision is close and it is all Umpire's call and the umpire's original decision was Not out.

Sounds good to me.

I would change it though, here are my thoughts.

1: No more umpires call regarding LBs, at least half the ball has to be hitting the stumps, otherwise it's deemed not out, same goes for where the ball pitches and hits the batsman, has to hit the batsman half a ball or more in line and must pitch half a ball or more inside leg, same goes for CBH, benefit of the doubt should stay with the batsman.

2: Looking at your change rooms for confirmation, I don't have a problem with it TBH, you have 10 seconds to make a decision, not long enough to a replay, if teams want to let someone watching a tele in the change rooms make the decision let em, personally I'd take the word of the keeper and bowler first, but each to their own, if not, make it so the referral has to come within 5 seconds.

Agree with #1, but I have concerns about 2. Like one team's dressing room may be more visible from the center than the other team's dressing room. At this point that may not seem like a big deal, but I can see players whinging about things like that in crucial situations where they weren't able to review because their communications with the dressing room was blocked.

Yep good point, make it 5 seconds to review then, that would take the dressing room out of the equation.

As I'm sure you know, you know when you're out, batsmen feel even the slightest edge and with LBs, well, I reckon the batsman has the best seat in the house, so review immediately or head back to the pavilion.
