Chinese Propaganda??

It's not just this current situation. The Chinese have a strong dislike of Indians since the 1800s because of the Opium Wars. We have been viewed as being loyal dogs of the British, happily fighting their wars. We even today still celebrate our "valor" fighting under an English flag.

lol, it's a good attempt..just about funny enough...i assume this is made for international audience, since no-one in China is going watch this.

USA has been doing these type of propaganda disguised as comedy skits for eons,

making fun of others is always funny.

then you are not a patriot, but a nationalist (the difference is subtle).

Who/what group sits in the halls of power, should never, ever lessen (or conversely, enlarge) the contributions made by our soldiers, in the field of war. Whether it was under the Brits or ourselves, have no bearing to the sacrifice of our jawans- for example, in Dunkirk.

Celebrating the victories is part and parcel of the package- one cannot celebrate a victory, without giving due respect to the victorious commanding officer or the high command, either. And if the high command/commanding officer is British, its a small price to pay to remember the hundreds/htousans of our people that died valiently.

Britain would have never won the world war 2 without the volunteer army (mostly Indians). Even the cold blooded Churchill who was highly racist against Indians admired the bravery of Indian soldiers in both the world wars. Heard of stories that Indian soldiers had to live on 1 or 2 biscuits a day when they were fighting wars in Europe.

Quote

We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

The above was Churchill's war speech facing eminent defeat against the Nazis, but funnily the last bolded part is never repeated in movies about him or spoken of during World War II ceremonies, this racist bastard was begging Commonwealth nations (mainly India) to help the UK out, same time diverting food aid to Bengal causing a massive famine, for some Churchill might be hero but was no less evil for others.

Indians played a far greater role keeping UK Nazi-free than the whites in UK would like to believe.

time for some bollywood director to make a cheesy world war II movie starring Salman Khan leading an Indian infantry fighting Nazis and saving UK from a Nazi invasion, lol

Although I believe that the Russians played a much bigger role in the downfall of Nazis than US and Britain, I can't imagine what would have happened to Britain without the voluntary army! It is a bit surprising that in India everyone is completely ignorant about the contribution of Indian soldiers in the world wars, most think of world war as the war for power between highly developed tech nations with minuscule contribution from Asian countries barring Japan.
