Rafale deal from Dassault, not defence ministry: Reliance Group

Quote

New Delhi: Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group on Sunday said it received the Rafale jet deal from Dassault Aviation SA and not the defence ministry. “Reliance Defence or any other Reliance group company has not received any contract from the MoD till date, related to 36 Rafale aircraft. This is absolutely unfounded and incorrect,” said Reliance Defence Ltd chief executive Rajesh Dhingra.

Yashwant, Shourie also making a lot of noise on the topic. Why doesn't one opposition critic drag gormint to Court and prove it there ? It will be a major boost to them if they can prove anything close to a scam.

Are there no obvious scams to exploit ? I recall Rahulji used to protest on trivial issues like BCCI early on, but its been 4 years now.

He is a top class expert on defence and foreign affairs, sadly not much of his content available on YouTube.

Really liked the way he coherently explained it. And RaGa just being RaGa, hell bent on jeopardizing our relations with France.

This is question which no one is answering. Everyone will just say that contract will be between reliance and dassault. Govt has nothing to do with it.

Dassault must have seen something or thought something about it before handling it to Anil Ambani group.

Government has no say in what contracts Dassault has with third party and the selection of the third party. Watch the video I posted where Abhjit Iyer-Mitra explains it to Shourie in clear terms and also why we are paying more for less now. He is doing much more to explain the GoI stand than somebody from the Govt themselves.

That still doesn't answer the question.

kuch to gadbad hai....how is debt ridden Anil Ambani reliance group contracted by Dassault

It doesn't need answering since everyone knows India works that way. There won't be any paper trail on this but govts give a gentle push towards a particular side everywhere & more so in countries with higher levels of corruption and/or lower levels of transparency.

Its not all that bad, in a way this was required. No private sector company will have the order book and experience of HAL which has had a monopoly and that hasn't helped build a local defense industry. I'm sure the bigger groups (Mahindra, Tata, L&T and others) will all build key equipment for the armed forces in the near future.

Yes that is a good idea.  HAL has been a big failure.

So all this ho-halla by these idiots, have you seen them before? Like for Bofors, 2G, Coal scam? Did you ever see them worry about tax payers money back then. "Sala 100 chuhe khake congressi parliament ko chale" to question NDA on Rafale deal and all disgruntled lot is on the bandwagon. So clearly these guys only have politics behind it and nothing.

Congress, TMC, SP, BSP & RJD are the last parties who can question anyone on corruption. These are so lost parties that even after conviction of LPY they are firmly standing behind him. Do they even have legit stand.
