Looks like Bumrah is cursed with Babar legs.

on the other hand Nagarkotti looks ripped, him and Mavi are quality athletes.

Looks like only two who are built like pace bowlers are Bumrah and Buvi. Boilogy is against other three.

how?

Height is a huge factor. You have to be tall to generate the pace and bounce. They will be able to do that but it will take extra toll on their body. Someone needs to manage them better.

Mavi is fine but others are vertically challenged.

Let our resident pace bowling experts @Rightarmfast chime in.

Look at Bhuvi in thet picture. His chest and legs are nothing but muscles. He looks very impressive. His thighs and calfs are very impressive.

All of them(all five) have strong upper bodies that means trainer is doing his job.

Bhuvi is 27 at his peak. Those two guys are 19 and is bhuvi is not much taller than Mavi and Nagarkoti. and check the pick carefully, Nagarkoti is standing below, while others are on a 2-3  inch thick board. The other short unknown guys is their trainer.  Anyway, you dont need height to generate pace. Pace comes from fast twitch fibers.  Shami is 5 foot 8, Malinga is 5 foot 8.

Height does play a big part in determination of pace. Taller bowlers will be naturally faster than shorter bowlers, no two ways about it. Now it is obvious that to generate pace consistently, the person needs to have fast twitch muscles in abundance ( thats why the saying, genuine pace bowlers are born with pace, not made ).

Whereas the shorter bowlers, like Waqar , Agarkar and all have to depend upon rhythm, body mechanics like hip rotation, wrist angles, delivery strides etc to keep bowling quick. As such, it does affect the longevity of shorter bowlers. If they are not in rhythm, the pace will not come. If they change their action, a significant reduction/ change in pace will follow.

So, for a shorter bowler to maintain pace, is a bigger challenge. And that also explains to some degree why the shorter bowlers are generally much quicker than more taller bowlers, in their peak. Because they have to try that much harder, they put in the effort to bowl quick ( Which comes naturally to the taller bowlers ).

Height has nothing to do with pace.

If you really believe in that statement you just made, you need to question your basic understanding of fast bowling. Cheers!

you are confusing pace with bounce. Both are two different things. Some of the fastest bowlers the world has seen have not been tall and some of the tallest bowlers have not been the fastest and also not lasted long.

You seem to be totally at sea about biomechanics. Perhaps a little more understanding of it and a little in depth study of pace and bounce will help.

i am talking from bio-mechanics perspective.  There is no better person to tell you about that than Ian Pont and i had posted that before too in the Nagarkot thread when people were questioning about his height.  if you check how low the fastest of the bowlers go to generate pace. i had posted that pic of Brett Lee and Donald in Nagarkoti thread with quotes from Ian Pont about height and pace and bounce. You need fast twitch fibers to generate pace short or tall.  The bowlers who have those can bowl fast regardless of what their biomechanics are.  I had the posted the picture of Starc in this thread recently that his biomchanics are not perfect as he bowled with a bent front foot but he still bowls fast.
