As an Indian Hindu, I have eaten at plenty of Pakistani owned restaurants around Europe. Never had any issues. Most of the time I only realized it was Pakistani owned at a later time.

Depends on what is important to you. I have lived for 2 years or more in 6 different countries. If money, material comforts and career growth are important, no better place than the US. No place rewards hard work better than the US. If leisure time and warm weather is what you like, then Mediterranean Europe is great. If social equality, good quality of life for most people, and government funded support programs (healthcare, education, etc.) are important, then move to the Scandinavian countries. If you enjoy social hierarchy (being treated like sht by those above you in the food chain, and at the same time the opportunity to treat below you as sht), then you'll like the Middle East. If you like working like a dog and getting rewarded without having the time to enjoy rewards, then move to Hong Kong. If money is not the number 1 thing, but you want to have a comfortable life in a developed English speaking environment with lots of immigrants, then move to Canada/UK.

The tending of EB1 and EB2 visa could be more problematic than this 100k h1b fee. (If it actually happens). At least a pending EB app allows one to extend H1b beyond 6 years. But if that route is closed, then h1b is totally not worthwhile for employers and employees alike.

I used to love those 90s test tours of West Indies. India rarely did well. But staying up at night for the Calypso magic, passionate crowds, music, Lara, Walsh, Ambrose...Tony Cozier in the commentary box...for me that was as good as a tour of Australia.
