And the definition is pretty self-explanatory I guess. 2nd best batsman is the batsman who performs next to the best batsman. You tell me in last year's Asia Cup and WT20 tourneys who else was the 2nd best batsman after Kohli?

That is  because we were one of the few teams in the world who were very reluctant to develop specialist T20 batsmen.... and stuck with batters like Dhawan and Rahane who are better off playing ODIs and tests respectively.   We also played out of form ( for 4 years ) batters like Yuvi  in a few matches.

The moment we brought in T20 type batters like Rahul, he performed well in this format too.

T20 is a specialists' format and  such players need to be developed.   Play Pant, Kedar, Rahul etc.  and we will score more runs and be less dependent on Kohli.

No Rahane should not be playing Odis. Enough of him in shorter formats. He's a Tests specialist along with Vijay and Pujara. We've seen enough to know that already and there are better alternatives who can do the job.

That is what I said.  Which is why I used the term "respectively"   : )
