Its not about money but dignity and betrayal. BCCI has done everything for smaller boards SL, WI, ZIM, BD. Indian team toured them more than any other teams did and they made money when India tour. England asked for 5 tests series, they accepted. WI left Indian midway through, BCCI still stayed lenient. But BCCI got back stabbed. Their own former president became Jaichand. Asia Cup has not been played in India for a long time now. Most of the times, it has been played in BD and SL and their boards made money. and that's how they have repaid to BCCI.

Is it just me or have I heard Pak fans say countless of times to BCB.ZCB that they won't invite the bangla/zim boys to UAE due to FINANCIAL Bs so rather invite them to PAK with terrorist lurking around each corner... Hmmm hmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmmm ..... HMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

It's us who only talks bout Financial stuffs about our boards only eh? Hmmmmmm ....

So when you folks bring up financial stuffs about your own country then its ok but when we do it, we care too much? 500+ to barely 300M is a huge difference. Why should we not talk about it?

GDP per Capita is more of actual indicator of a countries strength. Regardless, GDP and the revenues that a sport brings are not really related.

It is because part of that money goes to players salary, match fee, pensions, domestic cricket infra. Things which cricket fans care about.

Not too difficult to get I guess.

I get that, but Virat Kohli salary does not affect you. Its like me crying about Cristiano Ronaldo's salary going down even though it has no impact on me.

It's money that gets distributed to the states, who spend on younger players, development infra, new stadiums

 

Why should only BCCI cut their share to develop cricket in associates, especially when there are so many associates like USA, Canada, UAE, Holland, HK who are full of ringers from India, Pakistan, Australia and South Africa.

Virat kohli is the biggest star.Most of his earnings come from endorsement that we need not worry about.

 

We are worried about the Nitish Ranas , Ishan kishans and the thampis being able to earn a living playing domestics and not giving up on their dreams because they have no money to feed their families.

 

We care about the domestic players welfare and the betterment of grassroot cricket in India.

 

Is that a bad thing? 

Is it bad for fans to worry about things like this.

Not Virat Kohli but salary of a player at domestic level, which is proportional to earnings of BCCI.

As a cricket fan I would want future of cricketers at domestic or even at club level to be secure so that more people can take up Cricket as a career option and quality of cricket is improved and we can build better teams.
