Lack of wicket taking bowlers.

This pitch if anything had more for seamers.

But obviously Umesh Yadav proceeded to waste the new ball again

Did u even watch the match before posting Bs.The whole commentary was focused on discussion on why there hardly been any swing or seam.

No it isn't.This is the highest score of the tournament.

The difference is the bowling sucked.

If you have your mind made up, I cant do anything about it. Can I ? Waste of an argument.

Umesh is not a short format bowler. First of all he gives too many "hit me" deliveries and if batsmen go after him, the guy melts down completely and leaks couple of boundaries an over.

There's a reason his ER is around 6.8 and the fact we are playing a bowler who has such a poor ER speaks volumes. He's Rahane of bowling and should stick to Tests.

Actually, they bowled very well with the new ball. First 6 overs were very good. There wasn't much in the pitch and was true batting pitch in comparison to SA game. If it had anything, it was only in the morning. That SA match pitch was a bit two paced.

Please check out the bowling figures and get back to me. Umesh was the worst pace bowler for us. If he had shown some sort of control with Gunaratne struggling and other SL batsmen struggling with injuries we could've had a chance but he bowled poorly and leaked couple of boundaries every over.

Yeah it's ridiculous people who don't watch match posting bs here.First few overs we hardly gave runs and bowled tightly.

you can't defend 7 runs per over even Bumrah and Bhuvi got hit.I actually agree with you we needed to take wickets during middle.

As usual u have no clue .Talking crap again.Notnreally surprising.

This wkt was different because they had left a tinge of grass and hence Bhuvi was able to move the ball .

With one SL batsman out injured and Gunaratne was struggling it was the only chance we had, especially since Mathews was injured too. But Umesh blew any hope by leaking boundaries every over. He couldn't manage any control and was poor. If he had bowled even a couple of decent overs at the death you never know as then SL would've been forced to hit out against Bhuvi & Bumrah allowing them to pick up wkts.

But couple of boundaries ever over by Umesh killed any chance we had and SL could play Bumrah & Bhuvi without having to go after them. If you couldn't see it and think Umesh was as good as the others then we were watching a different game.

Gunaratne came did not score of first 3 balls of Yadav. Then he scored 6 and a single and then hit Bumrah for six and Bhuvi next over .So I can't comprehend how u blame yadav and think we could have defended 7 runs.Problem was not Yadav ,Jaddu was hammered today and could not compete his quota he had a bad day.

No one's there was sea of movement .

But there was enough to exploit .And Bhuvi did .

There was no edge of Bhuvi ,ball hardly beat the bat.Yadav was tight in his first 4 overs.
