Chandimal was a terrible player himself. Also very defensive in captaincy, didn't deserve it. Throw Mendis in fire...may be he'll do something unexpected.

There's a lot of chaos and politics with SL team, selection, coaches, all kinds of nonsense going on.   Its safe to say that Mathooze did not resign just for the results.  And regardless, he's not even remotely the best captain around with his weak tactics.   SL board makes WI look competent by comparison.
