I have been complaing for eons that straight up test average is wrong. IPL averages are more indicative. CT is more indicative. test is meaningless. The other two averages show a very poor bowler in Ashwin.

IPL averages lol sorry. No point in debating with you.

Ashwin looks pathetic on the field. Please dont compare him with Kohli.

At least he holds on to catches more frequently than Kohli does. What is the point of saving 1 or 2 runs in the outfield when you drop dollies when presented. Kohli is one of the worst catchers seen in recent Indian cricket history.

Not defending Kohli dropping catches at all but be realistic over here. Ashwin gets lollipops on the outfield and Kohli gets real fast projectiles. Ashwin cannot run. That is a problem.

Khota is Harbhajan singh for sure lol  Blind Ashwin hater.

Never said Ashwin is bad. He is just not as good as his supporters claim. He was terrible in CT. Borderline useless.

Ashwin is one of the best test match spinners I have ever seen when there is help for spinners.

He is a very ordinary bowler when the pitch is not aiding him. There are many spinners who are better than him when there is not sufficient help from the track.

He needs to rectify this.  Give more revs on the ball, bowl at bit quicker on flat tracks and not try too many variations. Off-spin, carrom ball and straighter ones are good enough.

He needs to bowl faster on certain pitches.

Its not just about pace but deceptive variation of pace and trajectory in places like Aus and SA. Can bowl at times with upright seam to get overspin and bounce than just side spin in Aus.

Agree with most of your comment.

This is supposed to be standard stuff for spinners these days.

Warne was discussing this delivery recently and outlining the importance of putting a lot of revs on the ball to get success with this delivery.

I want to know what  RPS  Ashwin bowls at.

Mooen and Maharaj were bowling 36 to 38 RPS on a regular basis when they were  doing well in England.

His blind followers should understand that he is ordinary in IPL and was the worst bowler in CT. If you are that good your numbers should not fluctuate that much. He is decent. No more.

yup thats right he is much better at this point in his career than harbhajan ever was :flame:

Why did you bring Harbhajan in this conversation? Please defend your man and don't deflect. Was he not the worst bowler in CT?
