I think his reputation got to him...his natural instinct earlier on was to just bludgeon the ball and that’s the way he played his game right from his formative days...once he started buying the hype and started lunging etc,neither did it help and he just lost his natural ability as well.

some of these knocks were early on his career though before his decline. who can forget his 6(10) knock in the final overs of the t20 cup? Thankfully Sharma played a handy knock.
