Let kohli pandya take rest. Because these two are playing every format without a gap whereas the test and LOI formats have two sets of nine different players other than kohli and pandya who are playing all three.

Play the A team. Make Manish Pandey the captain of 50 overs and have Iyer and Pant open in that series. Send Rohit Sharma to Life Time fitness Gym for two months.

 

Keep Kohl out of ODI’s and rest Pandya because he seems to be not performing with the bat and ball. May be he is tired with all the cricket. Let him rest.

Things to be done in the series-

 

NOTE: Treat this series like We treat Zimb tours ......as we have rolled SL sides with legends at home in past so no point playing safe against this minnow side 

 

1. Make sure rahul, iyer and pandey plays all games 

2. Kohli n pandya shud be rested

3. Kuldeep shud also be given every game 

4. Lets look at sundar as well, dont knw what diff are we gaining in axar patel then in jadeja. Jadeja hitting was a lil better and his fielding was any day better

5. Rest Bhuvi n Bumrah to. SL is a poor side so lets go easy on them to have a bit more competition. Also we need to try new pacers

6. Siraj, thakur shud be given proper chances. Even try rajpoot or Saini 

7. Lets look at shankar, gowtham for all rounder spots as well. If krunal is fit which looks unlikly now 

8. Do not select Karthik or rahane ......

9. In t20s- lets add a few more young players- Pant, Samson. 

10. I dont mind adding Karun nair in odi lineup , he is a quality batsman and has shots in the book and international exposure will help him only. Even though m not to sure how good wud he be in LOI but he is a quality player and he doesnt lack strokes.

Kohli will be replaced with Iyer and I expect pretty much same team.  1 or 2 small changes that's it.

No let Rohit captain his belly. Make someone younger than him captain. Manish Pandey is fine or even Iyer.

I wouldn't be so hopeful. After all, the "management" preferred to pick a near full strength squad against WI! If Dhawan/Rohit sit out of the ODIs Rahane will come in and Karthik may replace Kohli in the middle order. Baaki kuchh nahin badlega.
