What imagining? Most of the posters here accept that he's gonna stink up the joint until the 2019 WC anyway. What infuriates people is that a proven failure like KKD is being used as a shield to protect Dhoni in ODIs. Looking at his decline as a power hitter, it makes perfect sense to have a more explosive keeper-batsman as 2nd choice/backup. Instead we choose to persist with a guy like KKD . Most of negativity around Dhoni in ODIs will subside if we pick a guy like Samson/Pant as the 2nd choice instead of KKD and start giving him opportunities against weaker sides/dead rubbers. But apparently that is too much to ask for.

Watch out now. The chamchas will come after you for speaking the bitter truth.

Is this is a new word you've learnt recently? And yep, Karthik is used as a shield for Dhoni. If the likes of Samson/Pant etc get a run of 10-15 games along side Dhoni on Indian pattas, it could get pretty embarrassing for Dhoni. No wonder a "safe" option like KKD gets chosen instead.

why thank you I am indeed amazing. Haha getting personal now when you have nothing to say. A trait you have shown in recent times. 

 

Giants well horrible season and what they did with Eli unbelievable. But those two super bowls will always be cherished. Not easy winning against a team aided by spygate scandals and deflated balls and the infamous tuck rule.

Has this pointless Dhoni innings hurt us a lot more...food for thought...I mean how many such pitches we will get? He will play a similar knock even on a 400+ pitch..then we are fked.

 

He had no shot of surviving  yesterday and almost escaped a close call..credit where due hung around....but this hanging around won’t work on regular LOI pitches. The moment he sees a flat track he will resort to lunging and yo yo style running to cash in on a notout....he was attacking yesterday because he threw caution to the wind.

 

There are bigger issues than Dhoni sure...but he is not the solution.

do you really think such kind of diabolical mind set can prevail in any set up to put one single individual over team and by that i mean whole set up is involved in this convoluted plan to extend dhoni's career,one can expect that kind of reasoning from serial haters like laaloo but expected better from you,i mean this doesnt make any sense at all 

also even if any one out of pant/samson plays ,it hardly will put any pressure on dhoni,his role in the side is different from what will be expected from other two

this reasoning is as bizzare as rahul being sidelined because he will topple kohli in all formats

The way he took apart an ATG CSK Fast Bowler in Thisara Perera was a sight to behold. Granted he struggled against trundlers like Lakmal and Pradeep but that's expected. This guy will make it big and not Duckett @maniac

Ab MSKP khud toh press conference mein nahin bolega ke this is the reason why they are being picked. But we can read between the lines. And most of my criticism is directed towards Kohli and Shastri. Dhoni as a player has every right to keep himself available for selection as long as he wants. The onus is on the team management to groom the next wk-batsman from the ones available. i think we need a jolt to get things straight,these sf and final performances result in status quo,final loss atleast made them change bowling lineup,3-0 here and then a humiliation in SA could do the needful

Agree. And hopefully these jolts happen in JAMODIs rather than the main ICC tournaments. Because lets face it, no one gaf about JAMODIs these days. A 6-0 in SA would be beautiful.
