Forever Indian
He wont go for 3 Cr. in auction, at max 1 Cr or so. He hasn't been scoring much even in domestic T20s. Link to comment
Rasgulla
Kohli - 17 crows Panda - 1.5 crows Mr. Nags says... peasss should have retained chahal...Considering amount of players in auction. Not a bad move actually doubt anyone ll bid 7 crs for chahal Link to comment
Rasgulla
Lynn and stokes ll go for insane price Link to comment
Shunya
You guys need to understand that players have to agree with the price amount. Chahal might not have agreed for 7 or less Cr. Even Rahul would not have agreed with 7 or less. They got Sarfaraz for 1.7 cr which is not much. Though I am not sure he is even worth that. Link to comment

Lannister
His actual price is 1.75 crores. RCB played their cards smartly here. The next big player from RCB, after Kohli and Ab, is obviously Rahul and he must have refused to take 7 crores which is the pre-defined cap for the third retention player. Link to comment
philcric
This is all confusing (the prices). The actual prices paid to the players in not that relevant. What's important is what's deducted from the auction purse. How did RCB get deducted 31 Cr for 3 retentions (2 normal + 1 uncapped). For 2 normal retentions, deduction is 21 Cr. So effectively they lost 10 Cr for retaining Sarfaraz? Link to comment

For three players the minimum slab is 15Crs 11 Crs and 7 Crs. But for Uncapped it is 3 Crs. Kohli demanded 17 Crs AB got 11 and Sarfaraz got 1.7 So deductions are 17,11 and 3 which is a total of 31 Crs. Edited January 4, 2018 by sourab10forever Link to comment

For the sake of the team, Kohli and AB should have let RCB to retain just 2 of them at normal pricing (12 and 8.5), for a total of 21 Cr. leaving plenty left for the auctions. Now, in effect, they bought Sarfaraz for 10 Cr. PS: Or they should have retained 3 ... Kohli, AB, Chahal/Gayle/Rahul ... for 15,11,7 Edited January 4, 2018 by philcric Link to comment
