For years, their (only legitimate) gripe about 'Congressi Education' was that our history syllabus was too PC and too much minority appeasement. Sure, that is true. But history is history- a side note to knowledge and mostly, used/subverted by agenda-driven or insecure people to chest thump about long-dead illiterates from centuries ago. It doesn't actually matter to us, in our daily lives, whether Aryans came from outside, are Indians or aliens. But what this minister of higher education is doing, is American-esque, conservative denial of science and a categoric attempt to prop up religious nonsense, which has a very strong effect on people's daily lives. To deny evolution, is to basically deny the scientific process of speciation and the next logical step is insertion of illiterate ideologies dreamt up by people who's knowledge was less than our high-school kids. A standard copy-cat conservative approach of the US being cut-pasted in the Indian context, with the irony that Hinduism itself is pretty soft on 'origin of species', with hardly any cannonical literature being overly emphatic about it. This is why, i say that Hinduvta is intellectually devoid of anything- its just cut-paste hodge podge of Islamism + conservative American-style christianity in a hindu context, thats it. But today the syllabus has been changed. Although chapter of Darwin Theory is still present in the science books, but this chapter begins with statements like "Darwin's FALSE theory of Evolution".... and then comes: "It was Allah who created the universe in 6 days and 6 nights...." etc. I am afraid that Pakistani Schools/Colleges are not producing the science students who believe in Theory of Evolution, but they are producing the science students who believe in Theory of Creation. Question for the creationists: "Why there is NO fossil records present of dogs which are older than 15000 years"? And we have thousands of fossils of wolves present which are as old as 1.5 million years. But strangely, there are no wolf fossil records present which are older than 1.5 million years. So the question for the Crationists is: "Why there are NO fossil records present of any wolf which are older than 1.5 million years?" But we have many fossils of ONLY "Canis" type animals which are 1.5 million to 6 million years old. But there is No fossil records present of Canis which are older than 6 million years. Why? And then we have fossils of ONLY "Canini" type of animals which are between 6 to 12 million years old. But why there is no fossil of Canini present which are older than 12 million years? And then we have fossils of ONLY "Caniforms" type of animals which are between 12 million to 43 million years old. But why there are no fossil records present of Caniforms which are older than 43 million years, while we have fossils of many mammals which are older to this date? One could only wonder if the creationists are ever going to answer these questions. In case of humans too there are no fossil records present which are older than 200,000 years old. But still the creationists deny the evolution from human like apes, by claiming that Adam and Eve came directly from the heavens to the earth (after eating the forbidden fruit) and therefore we are unable to find human fossils which are older than 200,000 years old. But what excuse are the creationists going to present in case of the fossils of the dogs? Do the creationists believe that the "Adam of the Dogs" (i.e. the first male dog) also got deceived by the "Eve of dogs" (i.e. the first female dog) in eating the forbidden fruit in the heavens and thus as punishment sent directly to the world only 15000 years ago?
