Vk1 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Iyer is ideally suited to play in the top 3 or max at 4. He's not a finisher but coz of Rahane he is being played at 5. KL Rahul too is similar but perhaps better equipped to play the finisher role.
Shy9 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 He was hotwire when SRT around , he should be in indian team long time ago but Dirty politics by SOUTH LOBBY NOT LET HIM IN LONG BEFORE. Anyway he will be more dependable than others in the middle
Shy9 Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 West Lobby rules BCCI now. Axar Jaidev Jadoo Pujara IYER Rahane Thakur Bumrah Pandya H Etc plus Media support Hooda & Krunal , Prithvi on this day
Straight Drive Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Another catch dropped by Shreyas. Dropped one catch of Miller last match as well. Aiden Markram was dropped on 9 today.

He dropped Miller on 6 and Miller went on to score match winning 39. So 33 runs extra. 5th ODI - 23 runs. Shreyas scored 18. he dorpped Markram on 9 and Markram scored 32.
King Tendulkar Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Funny enough . Track looks tricky looling at saffies struggling his knock looks like match winning effort
SandeepMotta Posted February 13, 2018 Author Posted February 13, 2018 Forget his batting, should be no where near the Indian team just based on his fielding.
Majestic Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Good cameo after a good knock in first game. Vijy 1
Lord Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 I have bashed him and still believe hes not good enough for SENA But has great temperament and should play in India regularly

Even Rahane was terrible overseas. Iyer atleast shows good and positive mindset. Maybe can bat at 7 there

Technical wonders who chokes are more harmful than Mentally strong players with a bit of weakness. They will find a way to survive somehow.

Iyer has quite a bit in common with bevan. I imagine that he will get more chances in SENA down the line

He just has to learn to avoid bouncer. Otherwise he needs a run.

Not just pace. He had weakness against spin too. Iyer's only weakness is short ball. He already shows signs of improvement. If he fails they can always pick another guy. Vijy 1
nitinbwj Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Iyer is the best player of spin atm in India. Period. Plus that temperament. He has to play in every test in India and ODI's. Need mentally tough players not weak ass pussy like KL
Clarke Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Well thank heavens he said our asses, that's all i'd say for now Vijy 1
