its leadership vacuum.

Sterlite closing is a reality... Jaya's absence is sorely felt during these times. If unbridled, the crypto lot will finish off one of the most industrialized state of India

Don't worry that's not gonna happen. Mark my words, when DMK comes to power the plant gonna open silently. Magically all the environmental and health issues will be solved. After all they protested to open the plant few years ago. Sterlite is just an excuse, the actual motive is to manufacture a law and order issue

http://indianexpress.com/article/india/tuticorin-sterlite-copper-plant-to-shut-down-40-per-cent-of-countrys-copper-will-hit-800-units-and-jobs-5194969/

Can somebody from TN confirm this?

Quote

Tuticorin Sterlite Copper plant accounts for 40 per cent of country’s copper: Will hit 800 units and jobs

Tuticorin Sterlite Copper plant shutdown is also likely to impact India’s copper exports as around 1.6 lakh tonnes of Tuticorin plant’s production is sold internationally.

The Tamil Nadu government’s decision Monday to shut down Vedanta Limited’s copper plant at Tuticorin, which accounts for a 40 per cent share in India’s annual copper production of 10 lakh tonnes, could have a downstream impact on around 800 small and medium units in the electrical sector.

These include cable manufacturers, winding wire units and transformer manufacturers who source from the Tuticorin unit of Sterlite Copper — most of these units are in the country’s western and northern regions.

How can politics be done over economy/jobs ? TN politics is as bad a Bengal/Kerala. Industries will run to safe havens if this environment is like this.

true its very bad but Karnataka is leading light of democracy and meritocracy...............wait.

I think Karnataka politics is much better than TNs. We don't have cine-superstars running the state, brahmin/hindu hating politicians in nexus with evangelicals involving in mass rice bag conversions across the state. The Church is objecting to Hindu rituals in Srirangam and Kanyakumari is a city of churches now.

never heard of this. TN is a absolute Hindu majority state. any serious attempt at changing this will be very damaging for who ever tries it.

Last two sessions since 2008 is about Hindutva BJP v/s Secular Congress just like the national. scene, hence the difference with other south states. JDS is just a trump player sometime works for BJP like in 2014 and now for Xongress.

https://swarajyamag.com/ideas/barring-thanjavur-temple-ritual-by-the-church-indicates-the-shape-of-things-to-come

Quote

On 29 April 2018, the ceremonial procession that takes the ruling deity of Thanjavur’s Brahadeeshwarar Temple for a ritual bath in the adjoining Sivaganga temple tank, was stopped. The procession, complete with the playing of the nadaswaram (a classical wind instrument), was stopped by the authorities of Schwarz - an eighteenth century church built by Danish missionary, Friedrich Schwarz.

...

This blatantly false theory is coupled with racist Tamil pride and peddled in a hysterical way by the political parties like 'Naam Tamilar'. Further, hymns like Thiruvasagam are misinterpreted by the Christian clergy straitjacketing them into Christian monotheism. Hindu sacred spaces - in literature and liturgy, in ceremonial processions, and in physical area - are all encroached upon by Evangelists or proto-Christian Dravidianists. So when ultimately the physical violence descends, the local Hindus are left to defend themselves - often becoming homeless orphans in their own country.

There are Dravidian movements opposing the religion of Aryans (Hinduism) combining with Tamil Pride that Padres peddle in churches! Talk about taking advantage of the divide in harvesting souls! I have read how Muruga is being projected in some tribes as a symbol of monotheism combining it with Christianity. All this is dangerous trends that WB/Kerala have followed to further divide societies.

First give permission to open factories when in power. When voted out, engineer protests and cause the plant to shutdown . This causes prices to up  and now protest for prices rising. This is a 2019 election strategy of the opposition. I hope the public sees through this strategy of DMK/Congress/Left

Since lemurians now want to live in a pre industrial utopia as promised by their local paedophile in charge, it is rest of india that will foot the bill.
