Pujara's county performance thread

Lees has been dropped.

Any team would struggle when they lose 5-6 players to international cricket

Root, bairstow, plunkett, Rashid white ball, Willey etc

Tattersall looks like a decent guy. Ballance seems to be getting into good Nick and  Tim Bresnan keeps going

Bresnan is still going but who will he be playing for after this year? Rumours he hasn't been offered a new deal which is madness from the club. Absolute madness. An experienced county player who we're not going to lose to England. A rarity in our current squad. Coad and Fisher next to be picked by England I would say especially if the Test side continue to struggle.

pujara goes into his shell and gets off the mark after 42 balls....

gets lucky as his plumb lbw appeal gets turned down....(again incoming delivery problem)

finally get caught at short-leg for 23  runs .....to a 19 yr old  "SPINNER"  ... a fcking spinner in county cricket:wall:

imagine him defending 42 balls of anderson and broad for 0 runs.....just think that only  1 delivery of those 42 balls move off-the seam and takes pujara's nick to 1st slip.....pujara will score 0 runs ....but if he pounced on half-volleys and square cuts , he would have scored 20 odd of 42 balls....that's the importance of 'INTENT' ...intent doesnt allow the bowler to bowl full as his full balls can be driven for 4 .....pujara encourages the bowler to bowl on good-full length- just a matter of time , where he nicks-off....

feeling sad ....pujara doesn't have confidence at all.

Hurting my eyes

Dump him for good already along with the useless Rohit Sharma. It would be sad to see KL Rahul or even Karun Nair sitting out for this dud

under rohit and dhawan's  poor overseas record, pujara shittty record gets overlooked by people due to his 'nice' and 'hardworking' image....needs to be kicked immediately.

How is this guy passing yo yo test, he runs so slow. Those who defend that he blunts new ball are missing the picture, unlike in India where teams have to resort to spinners against whom he can make runs but here pacers keep coming and with his batting style he will only add more pressure by not rotating strike.

If we had a good no3 in SA we would have won the series.

Although it has made things much easier for Yorkshire in this match I would love to have seen Kohli in this match. What would he have made of it? Scarborough, the English seaside, fish and chips, candy floss, the cold mist off the sea making it 20 degrees cooler while the rest of the country basks in freakishly hot temperatures. Pujara says it was like winter in northern India except it lasted all day

I don't think he has the right attitude to improve his game further. We have players like Kohli, Rahul who are trying hard to perform in all three formats of the game and here he is struggling in the only format that he's known for and he has already played over 55 Test matches.

I used to like Pujara but he is acting like another pretender ,few days back he was saying he is good enough to play in wc 19 and  improve few of his innovative shot for limited over international. Now thats pakistani player like comment  when they themselves know they don't deserve to be selected still made claim for selections.
