Gollum
Rahul walks in as a pure batsman. Seeing how weak our middle order is even Pant can play as specialist batsman while Karthik can don gloves. Kam se kam T20s se toh Dhoni ko nikaal do, he has done nothing in that format his whole life. Suhaan 1 Link to comment

maniac
My ranking KL Rahul(if he keeps) DK Pant Kishan Samson(if he keeps) Uthappa(if he keeps) Goswami Parthiv(can provide blazing 20-25 run starts) Saha(if he decides to focus on LOIs but we need him for tests) Naman Ojha Jagadeesan MS Dhoni Edited May 21, 2018 by maniac rahulrulezz and Laaloo 2 Link to comment
kohli
Ishan still not ready,he is hit or miss.Samson is overrated I don't think he can replace dhoni, play both karthik and pant . Link to comment

RedFever
DK has made his test/ODI debut before Dhoni in 2004 and been struggling to find his place in the team for the last 14 years. One match winning innings in Nidhas trophy and ppl want him as the keeper velu 1 Link to comment
gazza
TBH they all warrant selection to some degree as batsmen but probably from this IPL you’re looking at dhoni or pant as the keeper mainly because Samson hasn’t been as consistent as the others so probably doesn’t get a look in atm and is much more used to fielding anyway than the other keepers are, same with Rahul (fielding wise, he’s been immense with the bat this IPL). DK probably misses out because if you want experience it’s dhoni, if you want youth it’s pant... Edited May 23, 2018 by gazza Link to comment

So if pitches are good, keepers won't drop catches? Anyways didn't you see the slam dunk by Dhoni? Edited May 24, 2018 by The Dark Horse Link to comment

Anyways didn't you see the slam dunk by Dhoni? yes its much easier to keep if ball does not go up and down and pitch isnt two paced. also unlike in england ball does not move a lot after passing batsman..even kl rahul for example looked decent here but he will struggle a lot in more difficult conditions as keeper.
