Has been the case for at least 2-3 years now.

 

When Sunny G compares Indian batsmen with the English regarding spin playing capabilities, you know things are bad.

Difficult to pick Rashid I guess. Can somebody confirm because I had the impression that he bowls both leg breaks and googlies with a back of the hand action. Looked weird to me.

unconventional bowling action has a lot to do with this. It is very difficult to pick Rashid from the hand, same with Mujeeb and Markande. Their bowling actions are not conventional leg spinner's action. if your bowling arm start coming close to or touch your right ear, it becomes difficult to differentiate between googly and leg break. Easier to pick likes of Mishra.

never seen anyone picking leggies like sachin ..

 

sehwag is a different beast altogether

This generation of Indian batsmen cannot play spin as well as the likes of Sehwag, Gauti, Sachin, Saurav, Rahul and VVS could.

Even once he failed to pick googly of piyush chawla in a challenger game which bought chawla in reckoning
