As far as my understanding goes ...Kartik is there as an  extra keeper.He will only play if Dhoni gets injured else no.

yup he shud have been given a chance to bat ahead rather then raina feasting on this halwa attack and manish pandey who cant even feast on them to

so many times he has played in 11 with dhoni being their . Even parthiv has, pant to both with dhoni n karthik
